A&R Construction: A Land Clearing & Dirt Work Website

Case study · Small business

A&R Construction: a dirt crew you can call.

I rebuilt the A&R Construction website as a fast, custom-coded site using the StoryBrand framework, so homeowners and builders across the Golden Triangle know exactly what Eddie does and have one simple next step: pick up the phone.

The challenge

Thirty years of experience, and a site that didn't show it.

Eddie Rushing has been clearing and grading land around Columbus, Mississippi for more than 30 years. His customers find him by word of mouth, and they want one thing: someone who answers the phone, gives a straight price and shows up.

The old site didn't say any of that. It leaned on generic stock photos and didn't make it clear that the fastest way to a quote is a phone call with Eddie himself.

The plan

Three changes that make the phone ring.

Generic → Local

Lead with the land

A bold "Your land, cleared & ground-ready to build" headline, then the three problems every landowner recognizes: it's overgrown, it doesn't drain, or a contractor already burned them.

Forms → One call

Make the call the CTA

Eddie only quotes by phone, so there is no contact form to ignore. His number sits in the header, after the 3 steps and in a big "Tap to call Eddie" button that works with one thumb.

Faceless → Familiar

Put Eddie up front

A "Meet your dirt guy" section, a simple 3-step plan and a Golden Triangle service map (Columbus, Starkville, West Point) show who you'll be working with and where.

The new site

Take a look around.

Desktop and mobile screens from the live site at arconstructiongtr.com.

What launched

3steps: give Eddie a call, he walks your land, you start building
3core services explained: land clearing, dirt work & grading, and site prep
1call to action across the whole site: Eddie's phone number, one tap away
